Description |

Freehive.com & Hirehive.com Freehive.com is a top quality career networking
site, that was first introduced in August of 2001 as synapze.com. From that
time it has migrated to weblnx.com and then onto freehive.com. This is a
website that has had a large amount of capital invested into it to produce a
service that can stand up to all challengers. Currently the seller is seeking
the right investor who can take over this project and provide marketing
expertise as well as technical skills. FAQ's from the Seller: 1. There are actually two sites, FreeHive.com (FH) which is a free site for jobseekers, and HireHive.com (HH) which is a paid site for recruiters/employers. FH receives 10-20 unique visitors per day, as does HH.
2. When we promoted the sites to recruiters/employers in July 2006, we
received $100-200 in revenue per day. Today it's not generating any
significant revenue as it's not being actively promoted.
3. It's fairly inexpensive to operate the site. The total cost
to keep it alive is $125/month in hosting fees. further money would be
invested into continual development as well as a marketing budget
4. Either through employees, contractors, or hard work (for someone with
ALL the right skills), the buyer will need 10-20 hours per week of technical
support, 20-30 hours per week of marketing support, and 20-30 hours per week
of customer support. I would also anticipate that continual development and
enhancement will be required to stay abreast of the market. Running this
business will be a fulltime effort for a small team of 2-3 people.
5. We have ~8,000 registered users. Of those who visit the site about ~20%
become registered users, which is a very high statistic. With a
concentrated marketing effort, the number of registered users will grow with
reasonable quickness.
Top 5 unique features of FreeHive
for your reference:
1. Dynamic connection chains -- as members join, connect with each other,
etc, the path between a jobseeker and a target employer evolves with the
network
2. Tight integration with
Indeed.com API -- to the best of my knowledge, we are the only social
network using Indeed. MySpace and LinkedIn have an association with
SimplyHired, but it's not a full integration, and SimplyHired's technology is
not as good as Indeed's. SimplyHired is also trailing Indeed significantly in
user numbers, revenue, and Alexa rating.
3. Complete job application management abilities -- on the fly, the system
looks for the 'apply' email or link on a job posting and allows the user to
apply using a stored resume. This allows one resume stored in one place to be
used for applications at virtually every site on the web. It also allows a
jobseeker to track their application across multiple sites from a single
location.
4. 'Picture-in-Picture' job browsing -- each job from a search result opens
in a unique iframe, allowing the jobseeker to compare two or more jobs
simultaneously, rather than the back-n-forth clicking required on every other
job site
5. 'Assured validity' of the network -- when you get beyond the second level
of a network, the power of the referral is significantly diminished. this is
b/c the parties don't actually know each directly.
freehive solves this problem by
forcing a conversation between each party along the chain before the referral
can be passed on.
